The self-supporting spout pouch is a relatively novel packaging form, with advantages over common packaging forms in terms of portability; the self-supporting spout pouch can be conveniently placed in a backpack or even a pocket, and its volume can be reduced as the contents decrease, making it easier to carry. It has advantages in enhancing product quality, strengthening shelf visual effects, being lightweight, convenient to use, preserving freshness, and sealability. The self-supporting spout pouch is made of a laminated structure of PET/foil/PET/PE, and can also have 2 layers, 3 layers, and other specifications depending on the different products being packaged. An oxygen barrier layer can be added as needed to reduce oxygen permeability and extend the shelf life of the product.
Currently, the packaging of soft drinks in the market mainly consists of PET bottles, composite aluminum foil bags, and cans. In an increasingly obvious homogenization competition, packaging improvements are undoubtedly one of the powerful means of differentiated competition. The self-supporting spout pouch combines the re-sealability of PET bottles with the fashion of composite aluminum foil bags, while also having printing advantages that traditional beverage packaging cannot match. Due to its basic form as a self-supporting pouch, the display area of the spout pouch is significantly larger than that of PET bottles and superior to non-standing packaging like the stand-up pouch. Of course, since the spout pouch falls under the category of flexible packaging, it is currently not suitable for carbonated beverage packaging, but it has unique advantages in juices, dairy products, health drinks, jelly foods, and more.
